It is with great excitement and anticipation that I welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year. This past academic year was one laced with many challenges due to COVID-19. However, we were able to weather the storm and provide our children with virtual learning resources as well as modified in person learning. If nothing else, this past year has taught us the importance of a school family- teachers, administrators, students, parents, and community. I would like to thank our parents, teachers and administrators who went above and beyond the call of duty to meet the needs of our students this past year.
I am truly elated that this school year will begin with students coming to school in person. However, we will still employ COVID safety measures within the district because the health of our boys and girls and faculty is of the most importance. As the saying goes “We’re Back!” We are back to full day instruction, athletic events, and preparing students to pass the state assessment. This school year we must work extremely hard to improve each school’s performance rating by maximizing our time, resources and talents to increase student achievement. We do not have a moment to lose!
Our mission and vision statements at CMSD have charged us to ensure that our students are high- achieving, productive members of society, who will be prepared for college and careers. We will prepare them! I am looking forward to a successful year with your help.
