Thank you for passing the 2017 Bond Proposal

Clarksdale Municipal School District Families & Community,

Thank you! Your approval of the $8.5 million CMSD bond ensures that our students and teachers will be able to work in comfort, feel safer, and have educational essentials needed for learning. Your partnership with Clarksdale Municipal School District is a key component to our success, and our strategic plan.

You have cleared the way for funding urgent repairs to our schools and overall physical plant improvements that will serve our children and this community for decades to come. We are planning to use funds to fully repair the heating and cooling system at Clarksdale High School, to repair or replace the aging leaking roofs at each school in the district, to update windows at Booker T. Washington and J.W. Stampley to comply with current Mississippi Department of Education and building code requirements for safety, to replace the gymnasium floors at Kirkpatrick and W.A. Higgins in addition to adding four classrooms, a science lab and a new library that meets current Mississippi Library standards at W.A. Higgins, to provide upgraded competitive athletic and recreational facilities at Clarksdale High School that will also be available for our students and community for leisure activities.

Thank you for voting to support this bond, putting students first and making sure they have the best possible educational experience at CMSD.
