Parent Reminders

Preparing for a Successful School Year

At Clarksdale Municipal School District, we want every student to begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn. The following reminders will help ensure students arrive on the first day meeting district expectations.

Uniform Requirements

Students are expected to wear the approved district uniform each school day.

Shirts

Students may wear:

  • Navy Blue Polo
  • Light Blue Polo
  • White Polo

All shirts must have a collar.

Bottoms

Approved bottoms include:

  • Navy Blue
  • Khaki

Options include:

  • Pants
  • Shorts
  • Skirts

Denim of any color is not permitted.

Shoes

Students should wear:

  • Tennis Shoes
  • Dress Shoes
  • Casual Shoes

Shoes must completely enclose the foot.

Slippers, slides, Crocs, foam runners, and similar footwear are not permitted.

Appearance Expectations

To maintain a safe and positive learning environment:

  • Sagging pants are prohibited.
  • Hoodies may not be worn during the school day.
  • Male students may not wear earrings.
  • Students should arrive neat, clean, and well-groomed.
  • Student attire should not disrupt the educational environment.

Clear Backpack Requirement

All students are required to use a clear backpack.

Students may also carry a small non-clear pouch inside the backpack for personal hygiene items and other small personal belongings.

Why Clear Backpacks?

The use of clear backpacks helps:

  • Enhance campus safety
  • Improve security procedures
  • Protect students and staff
  • Promote a safe learning environment
