Welcome to the Department of Maintenance and Transportation

The Department of Maintenance and Transportation plays a critical role in supporting the educational mission of the Clarksdale Municipal School District (CMSD). Our department is responsible for maintaining all district facilities and grounds, managing student transportation services, and overseeing school resource and safety officers across all campuses.

We are dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and secure environment that fosters student learning, staff productivity, and overall well-being. Our team works diligently behind the scenes each day to ensure that classrooms are functional, campuses are secure, and students arrive at school and return home safely and on time.

From preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to route planning, safety enforcement, and facilities improvement, we strive for excellence in every aspect of our operations. Our work directly supports the district’s goal of creating learning environments where students and staff can thrive.

Our mission and daily operations align with the district’s overarching commitment to student achievement, guided by the CMSD Mission, Vision, and Goals:

We strive to meet the needs of every student.

We envision all schools graduating ready for college and careers.

  • Goal 4: CMSD will provide students with a comprehensive educational experience.

Commitment to Excellence
The Department of Maintenance and Transportation remains committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and service with integrity.
